Chalet Alaska is a luxurious chalet in Chamonix's center. The chalet, which is part of Hameau des Plan, can sleep up to 13 people when fully occupied.
Chalet Alaska, like its neighboring chalets, features a big open plan living room with views of the surrounding mountains. On one side of the room is a cosy lounge area with adequate seating for the entire party, and on the other side is the kitchen and dining area. The fireplace sits in the center of the room, which also has wooden beams and a high vaulted ceiling. Walk out onto the big balcony from either location to take in the breathtaking views of the Chamonix Valley. The outside table and chairs make this an ideal spot for alfresco eating.
Chalet Alaska's kitchen is light and open, with many windows allowing in natural light. There is an island in the center of the kitchen with plenty of room for preparing evening meals or spreading out a selection of delicacies for everyone to enjoy. Following through from the kitchen is a huge wooden dining table with bench seats - the ideal area for everyone to gather and enjoy a good meal.
A wide patio with loungers and a cedar hot tub is located at the back of the chalet. Another patio with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains is located in front of the chalet on the lower floor. If you prefer to relax indoors, there is a separate TV space that can be turned into a bedroom if more guests like to join. This room is separated from the living area by sliding doors that provide soundproofing and solitude. It also has an en-suite.
Chalet Alaska features five bedrooms and can accommodate up to 13 guests. There are three double bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms on the ground floor, as well as a bedroom with two bunk beds that can accommodate up to four people. This bedroom also has its own bathroom. A mezzanine bedroom with three single beds and an en-suite shower room is located on the chalet's upper level. This room's skylight windows are a great feature.
There is a garage with ski racks and boot warmers, as well as an elevator that connects each story. Should it be necessary, air conditioning is fitted in each bedroom.
The chalet is to be rented on a self-catered basis with mid-week and final cleaning service. The catered option with breakfast, afternoon tea and 6 dinners is available on request.
Chalet Alaska may be combined with Chalet Azurite and Saphir to form Le Hameau des Plans, which can accommodate up to 41 people.
