Saint Gervais is part of the Mont Blanc Area and is also only a short drive from Chamonix and is connected to Les Houches by the Mont Blanc tramway. Saint Gervais Skiing
Being the third biggest skiable area resort in the French Alps, holidays here surely give plenty of ski terrain. In comparison to other of its neighbouring resorts such as Megève, the resort has fewer busy slopes. The winter sports terrain is divided into two major ski areas: the Evasion Mont Blanc region and the Les Houches area.
Skiers may explore a total of 445 km of pistes appropriate for all abilities throughout the two zones.
The larger of the two, Evasion Mont Blanc, connects to many Alpine resorts, including Megève, Saint-Nicolas, Les Contamines, Combloux, and La Giettaz, all of which are accessible with the Mont Blanc Unlimited ski pass.
The terrain consists primarily of blue and red routes, making it perfect for beginning and intermediate skiers. There are, however, several black routes for expert skiers, as well as some of the nicest powder snow in the area.
The second domain of Les Houches is smaller than Evasion Mont Blanc. Members of the French national ski team frequently practise in this region, and Les Houches hosts international sporting events throughout the season. Saint Gervais Mont Blanc is located in the Savoy Mountains, about an hour’s drive from Geneva Airport. Chambery, Lyon, and Turin are all nearby airports, although Geneva is by far the most accessible. Traveling by train is also an option, with a direct service from Annecy to St Gervais Les Bains.
