Paishill Private Lodge

With its isolated position in the Paishill woods on the banks of the Teno River, Paishill Private Lodge provides an authentic Arctic getaway with mesmerizing scenery on its doorstep. Good for families with children, the lodge helps you to explore nature and display the northern lights while experiencing a high quality of service.

The Scandinavian interior has been thoughtfully designed to create a relaxing atmosphere where you can fully relax and recharge. Combining Finnish and Scandinavian features, the lodge has a cozy cottage feel with a wood-burning sauna and hot tub. There is a spacious open concept dining room with a traditional “siesta” lounge chair, B&O speakers and a La Pavoni coffee machine. The Lodge has a double bedroom with a queen-size bed and a bunk bedroom with four beds.

Checking after the housekeeper and the cook, you’ll experience tasty feasts at the Paishill Private Lodge. Breakfast includes homemade bread, granola, porridge and sweets made from Nordic berries. Usually, the dinner contains salmon, reindeer, organic vegetables and local mushrooms. A selection of high-quality wines and other drinks are also available.

Paishill Private Lodge is the perfect base from which to enjoy the great outdoors. The Kevo Nature Reserve, which has two challenging hiking trails, is an hour’s drive from the lodge. There are plenty of chances to experience a range of sports in the Arctic. Look at the Northern Lights in winter, take a 40-minute drive to Tana, Norway, for a dog sledding trip, enjoy a reindeer safari or snowmobile sleigh tour, or try your hand at cross-country skiing or snowshoeing.

Other winter activities include ice fishing, King’s crab safari and Arctic swimming in a local lake followed by a sauna. In the summer, you can go on a fat bike ride on the cliffs, a canoe safari on the Teno River, guided hikes and salmon fishing.
