Chalet Nyumba, if there is anything like a fairytale mountain hideaway, it would be this wonderful accommodation. Meaning "house" in Swahili, Nyumba is situated high above the village, with the best view of any chalet in Verbier. This lovely 500m2 chalet boasts a splendid pool, finished in Italian marble. Sliding glass doors open to commanding views across the valley and the mountains above.
The main living room has a dramatic double-height ceiling and is furnished with faded leather sofas and hardwood furniture. There's a chic blend of alpine detailing, African artwork, and sculpture. There are a projection screen and a huge DVD library in the cinema room, and if all that's not enough to keep kids amused, there's even a huge playroom with lots of toys and games.
The chalet Nyumba has four floors and sleeps up to 16 guests. There is a self-contained chocolate box Mazot sleeping up to 6 people adjacent to the chalet (separate kitchenette and dining area). Apply for more information on the layout of the bedroom and bathroom.
The chalet also boasts one of Verbier's best private spa facilities. This is completed in Italian marble with a view of the valley and the mountains above. These luxury amenities include an L-shaped swimming pool with adjustable floor depth and swimming current (the floor can be lowered or elevated for children or turned into a dance floor), a hammam/steam room, an indoor and outdoor spa, a sauna, and a lounge. Next to the Salon, there is a massage room where one of our in-house staff can relieve the pressure of your skiing days.
The ground floor provides entry to the garage and cave, where a large range of wines is available for purchase by the bottle. Guests have access to one indoor and two outdoor parking areas.
Price focused on exclusive use of the 12-person chalet featuring full gourmet dining, open bar and 24-hour in-house driver's service. No travel is included. Additional guests are paid at CHF 750 per person.
