The sea is the highlight of the contemporary, sun-drenched Villa Clementine, one of the most stunning and easy-to-live modern resort properties on the island of St. Barth. Thanks to its position in Vitet, from almost every part of the building, and its large, long terrace, you can see the cerulean view of the Caribbean Sea: the Bay of Lorient, the islands of Fregate, Toc Vert, Tortue and St. Martin in the background.
Comfortable and sleek, with happy features such as citrus-hued cushions and jets, and artwork and furniture made of stunning weathered and recycled wood, Villa Clementine is indeed a favourite. It's a holiday home that lives up to the old travel argument and really looks like a home, spacious and cosy, with living spaces set up in ways that promote interaction and relaxation—but still seclusion and alone time.
Because of its layout, Villa Clementine is very flexible, well suited for families with children or groups of adult friends who want to spend their holidays together. Each of the three bedrooms is very spacious—with a king-size European bed and a rain shower en suite bathroom—and similar in size to the others. There is ample separation between them to create a lot of anonymity at a time when not everyone is gathering for a chat in the airy dining room or sunbathing next to the beautiful, mosaic-tiled swimming pool.
The house is based on a graceful, fluid living room with a galley kitchen, divided from the sitting area by an island bar with high stools. Its walls extend out to the wraparound terrace, with its dining and lounging areas, its hanging nest seats, and its young yet thick greenery.
Two of the bedrooms are on the same side of the living room. One of them has large panoramic windows on two sides, one of which opens to provide access to the flight of stairs leading down to the heated pool. The other one has a sea-facing window that is about the height of a wall. The third bedroom is situated on the lower level by the pool and can be reached from the inside or from a private outside entrance. There's a gym room on this floor, too.
