    Palm Springs

Palm Springs, a place of history and tradition besides the representation of beautiful beaches. Drawing influence from the so-called SoCal elan of the 1960s, as well as from the ingenious works of the renowned architect Dame Zaha Hadid, Villa Palm Springs shines with the vitality of a clear esthetic ideal. The key construction of the property refines and reinvents the West Indies 'case,' the basic one-story architecture of four walls and the pyramid roof seen in the islands. The roof is lifted above the internal living space until it is effectively divided, and the kitchen, living/dining area, and master bedroom suite form a free framework under the roof. This "cube within a cube" is moved by just a few degrees so that it faces slightly more west than the outer walls behind it, accentuating its neutrality and directing the viewer's eye to the blue horizon as well.

Palm Springs Villa Jewel, beauty and comfort in and outdoors

Villa's large living area and kitchen are completely accessible to the terrace, pool, and breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea, thanks to an ingenious series of floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors. Two whole walls disappear out of sight without any supportive columns left, breaking down the indoor and outdoor meanings. Outside the living room, a hardwood dining table with ten seats is sheltered by a cantilevered roof. In the morning, the dining room and the convenient and open kitchen appear as a cool shelter from the sun, while the sun is completely lit in the day. In the evening, well-placed, recessed, and indirect lighting offers the room a comfortable and inviting feeling. The large deck around the infinity pool provides the luxury of sun loungers as well as a shaded seating area beside the bougainvillea and coconut palm gardens. The master bedroom suite maintains the same degree of design awareness, with handmade cabinetry in Brazilian wenge oak, polished concrete floors, and beautifully designed lighting. The ensuite bathroom has a view of Jack and Jill vanities and a pebble-stone tiled, rain-head tub. The three other bedrooms of Villa Jewel, each with its own private bathroom, show the stylistic influence of the master bedroom re-imagined in different color schemes. The woodwork and upholstery throughout evoke an updated sense of the lines and shape of the 1960s, well suited to the tropical environment. In the crowning touch of the Bond video, one of the bedrooms gives a picture-window view into the crystal-clear water of the infinity heated pool. There is also a recently added 5th bedroom with ensuite bathroom on the lower floor.
