Perfect ski holiday: Luxury chalets rentals in Verbier
VERBIER : COMBINATION OF WORLD-CLASS SKIING, APRES SKI, AND NIGHTLIFE
Verbier has a classic Alpine town vibe with its gorgeous wooden luxury chalets and flats, but it also features a surprisingly extensive selection of stores, bars, restaurants, spas, and clubs all conveniently positioned around the Place Centrale.
APRÈS-SKI AND NIGHTLIFE
Mouton Noir, located on the mountain at Ruinettes, serves a glass of champagne with spectacular panoramic views and superb DJs before skiing down. Then, while sipping a glass on the sunny patio, prop your skis outside Le Rouge. After the sun goes down, you can dance the night away to live bands in Le Farinet’s legendary après ski bar, then descend to its noisy subterranean club, South. Another well-known hotspot is Farm Club, a 1971 institution with a small and eccentric vibe.
RESTAURANTS
Verbier is home to a plethora of superb restaurants, whether you like traditional Swiss food served in a mountain ‘cabane’ with a toboggan ride home beneath the stars, sushi served in a modern Japanese-style restaurant, or a gourmet dining experience sat at the chef’s table. Our team of Concierge will be pleased to recommend and book you a table in one of the best restaurants in Verbier.
WELLNESS
Verbier may be a refuge of peace and relaxation in addition to its thrilling activities and decadent nightlife. Many of our chalets and apartments have their own spas, hot tubs, or swimming pools, and we can arrange for you to receive lavish in-chalet treatments and massages. Otherwise, visit a magnificent hotel spa, such as La Cordée des Alpes, which is open to non-guests when they order one of their relaxing treatments, such as the volcanic hot stone massage. The spa of the art-deco Experimental Hotel offers an incredible selection of facials created in partnership with the French skincare company Biologique Recherche. Those who want to keep active should go to Inspire Studio, which offers a variety of classes for all skill levels.
VERBIER IN THE WINTER
Skiing in the Four Valleys is a thrilling adventure. But there’s so much more to enjoy, from an incredible heli-skiing adventure to the lovely experience of after-dinner sledding with the family.
SKIING
The 4 Valleys has a huge range and diversity of tough pistes, as well as some of Europe’s most exhilarating lift-served, off-piste skiing, not to mention luxurious ski lodges. There is no better place for skilled skiers and riders to explore glaciers, couloirs, and deep snow bowls. Intermediates have a more restricted playground in the Savoleyres and Lac des Vaux districts.
The five resorts of Verbier, Nendaz, Veysonnaz, Thyon, and La Tzoumaz are linked into a single Four Valleys pass, which offers one of the biggest skiable regions in the Alps, however few skiers travel beyond the limits of the main Verbier lifts in practice.
Verbier’s main lift station is located at Medran at the top of the town. A six-person telecabin goes up to Les Ruinettes (2,200m), where the Funispace, a cutting-edge lift with a 30-person stand-up telecabine that runs up to Attelas, begins (2,723m). On one side of Attelas, there’s some moderate cruising skiing around Lac des Vaux, as well as chair-lift access to the infamous Chassoure-Tortin slope, which is always steep, frequently strongly mogulled, and very stunning in new snow.
There are numerous further chairlifts and lines heading to Les Ruinettes, Carrefour, and back down to resort level on the opposite side of Attelas to Lac des Vaux.
ACTIVITIES OTHER THAN SKIING
Verbier has so much more to offer whether you aren’t a skier or snowboarder, or if you just want to try something new. Don’t be deceived; sledding is just as much of an adrenaline rush here. Try the 10km luge at Savoleyres, one of Europe’s longest and certainly not for the faint of heart. There are also a variety of other sports to attempt, such as snowshoe excursions through the woods, paragliding from the Ruinettes, and heli-tours for a bird’s-eye view of the resort. To schedule any of these activities, please contact your concierge or our pre-arrivals manager in-resort.
VERBIER IN THE SUMMER
THE ALPS ARE AMAZING TO VISIT IN THE SUMMER.
When you’re surrounded by lush green meadows filled with wildflowers and dwarfed by snow-capped mountains, the mountains take on a whole new meaning. The resort is much quieter in the summer than in the winter, allowing tourists to enjoy the unusual mix of stimulating activities and peace and quiet.
BIKING
With 23 enduro trails, 500km of cross-country tracks, and countless roads to ride, as well as the bikepark with 19km of downhill courses of varied difficulty, it’s no surprise that Verbier draws bikers of all abilities throughout the summer.
HIKING
Trail jogging and hiking are also quite popular, and Verbier offers a wide range of defined trails to accommodate all levels and ages. From family-friendly walks with panoramic views to challenging climbs to the summits of towering peaks, you’ll discover your ideal hike here – the ideal way to exercise, breathe fresh air, and appreciate the alpine landscape.
CLIMBING
Climbers flock to the rough cliff sides in the summer. There are Via Ferrata paths made up of rungs, ladders, and bridges that may assist even inexperienced climbers in scaling the mountain; a safe yet adrenaline-inducing experience that will give you a fantastic sense of success when you reach the top.
SUMMER CAMPS
For children of all ages, there are several mountain camps available. Our staff would be happy to recommend summer programmes that include sports, music, and language courses to keep kids involved, informed, and entertained. Les Elfes is one of the most famous children’s camp in Verbier.
