    Where is Verbier?

Found in the south-west region of Bagnes in Canton Valais, the village is situated at an altitude of 1,500m, providing spectacular views of both Mont Blanc and Le Grand Combin. Bordered by France to the west and Italy to the south, the village can be accessed by road or by train.

Travelling by train is definitely an alternative, and from 19 December 2015 to 9 April 2016 you can get on the latest Eurostar Swiss ski train in the UK at St Pancras International to get to the Swiss Alps at 186 mph, with a smooth change at Lille en route. The Eurostar will take you to Geneva where you can take the St Bernard Express to Martigny or Le Chable and take a cab for the remaining 27km to Verbier.

Should you wish to drive, Verbier is easily accessible at just a two-hour drive from Geneva airport. We can arrange private airport transfers for you, from the airport to your chalet or apartment.

Ready to host thousands of guests every year, Savoleyres and the Swedish Quarter are the most prestigious and private places to stay in the resort, while Place Centrale is the place to be if you're trying to be at the center of the action. The portal to the 4 Valleys, Verbier is linked to the slopes of Thyon, Nendaz and Veysonnaz, providing access to 410 km of ski tracks.

Few mountain resorts can honestly boast that they have no off-season: but Verbier is one of them.

    Winter season in Verbier

Owing to the height and scale of the 4 Valleys, there is definitely no concern with the consistency and quantity of snow during the winter season. The resort has a wide variety of runs, including some sublime off-piste, so it's no joke that the Xtreme Verbier contestants are coming here to play in the finals of the Freeride World Tour. This case takes place on the rock face of Bec des Rosses and is definitely not for the faint-hearted.

With the main piste area immediately above Verbier, skiers have the ability to ski on the slopes of La Tzoumas, Thyon, Nendaz and Veysonnaz. Novices looking to ski in this resort get their own nursery slope at Les Moulins and Les Esserts away from the rest of the path. Heliskiing is a common sport for anyone in search of an adrenaline-rush, taking place in stunning mountains like the 3670m Petit Combin and 3800m Pigne d'Arolla.

If skiing is not for you, there are several winter activities on offer, including 16 different identified snowshoeing itineraries for you to handle, as well as the highly common dog sled rides that run from early December to late April. Why not consider ice climbing for the adrenaline-seekers of the group? With routes for novices and professionals, go to the frozen waterfalls of the area and experience the thrill of ice-cold waterfalls.
