Villa Le Grand Jardin is located on Sainte Marguerite, an island off the coast of Cannes. It is the island's lone private property and was formerly home to royals and aristocracy including Louis XIV, the 15th-century Dukes of Guise, and, according to tradition, Napoleon.
Perhaps predictable considering its name, this walled estate has magnificent and spacious gardens spanning 14,000 square meters, teeming with native animals. Landscaped walks dotted with cypresses, palm trees, olive and fruit trees lead down to the botanic gardens, which are full of scented roses, geraniums, and irises. An outstanding vegetable garden allows the chef to produce tasty and fresh farm-to-table dishes. Unique sculptures, such as an enormous t-rex and a gorgeous wild horse, adorn the grounds, lending a contemporary touch.
An naturally filtered heated swimming pool is located in one corner of the expansive gardens, surrounded by a paved terrace for outdoor living. The terrace is furnished with sun loungers and day beds for visitors to relax in the sun, while the chefs may create drinks and grills in the outdoor kitchen and bar and serve them to guests in the covered lounge or al fresco dining area.

The 1.4-acre estate consists of seven different structures, the oldest of which date back to the 16th century. There is a Governor's House, a turreted castle tower with a roof terrace, three charming cottages, a guest house, and a pool house.
The interiors have been painstakingly refurbished using environmentally friendly materials such as rock flooring, white and grey marble, and natural beige and teak wood floors. The facility uses energy-saving methods throughout, and a tree will be planted for each night of the visitors' stay, making it a one-of-a-kind eco-friendly offering.
White walls and high ceilings provide a light and airy atmosphere, while soft furnishings, trendy artworks, and cutting-edge décor offer a really opulent sense. Before coming to the spa for a treatment, guests may unwind in a spacious lounge area or sample wines in the private wine cellar.
