Set in a peaceful, south-facing position in Mannried, just outside Zweisimmen, Haus Mannenberg combines historic character with contemporary Alpine living. Tucked beneath the ruins of Unterer Mannenberg, the chalet enjoys a wonderfully private setting, with open mountain views stretching across surrounding meadows and woodland.
Its location also offers excellent access to the region’s winter sports. Three ski areas can be reached within around 15 minutes by car, giving guests the freedom to explore different slopes throughout their stay.
Dating back to around 1700, the chalet underwent a meticulous restoration between 2020 and 2023. The original structure has been thoughtfully preserved, with historic timber beams and distinctive architectural details retained alongside carefully integrated modern features.
Inside, natural materials and exposed wood create a warm, understated Alpine atmosphere with furniture by Finn Juhl and Carl Hansen. At the heart of the main living space, a wood-burning fireplace provides a cosy gathering point after a day on the mountain or a winter walk. There is a second separate living room, useful for groups and families. Contemporary amenities include underfloor heating, high-speed Wi-Fi, Bang & Olufsen sound, Apple TV and a coffee machine.
Haus Mannenberg accommodates up to eight guests in four permanent double bedrooms. The master bedroom features an en-suite shower room, while a second double bedroom has access to a separate shower room. The remaining two bedrooms share a further shower room.
The private garden and surrounding grounds offer plenty of space to relax and enjoy the landscape in every season. Guests also benefit from a private ski room, laundry facilities, indoor and outdoor parking, and an electric vehicle charging point. A massage/treatment room is available on request, prepared specifically when guests book in-house treatments.
