Villa Tisciano is a luxury holiday villa in Umbria. It preserves the farmhouse's outside staircases, which traverse across the inner garden between the main house and its annexe. The sloping fragrant garden, which is planted with thyme, lavender, fennel, roses, pomegranate, and mulberry trees, leads straight to an estate's historic olive grove. The sound of trickling water, from the courtyard trough to the cascade in the swimming pool, adds to the serene atmosphere.
The interior has a dramatic feeling of space and light, with a strong influence of 1950s Italian style, from the entry with an unsupported stone stairway to the handcrafted plaster mantelpieces. The functional kitchen has a classic Italian Gullo cooker among its professional furnishings. There are three bedrooms in the separate annexe and three more in the main home, including a spacious master suite with an open fireplace.
Villa Tisciano is a house for all seasons, but notably a summer paradise, with its apparently floating pool and a limitless array of excellent outside terraces and eating places, each built to take advantage of the weather conditions throughout the season. On chilly evenings, the magnificent interiors include open fireplaces throughout, and the pool terrace, with its grate, is ideal for watching the fireflies dance or stargazing over the breathtaking views of the entire estate.
